Bo Huang
Professor Bo Huang is Professor and Director of the MSc Program in Geoinformation Science in the Department of Geography and Resource Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he is also the Associate Director of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science.
Prior to this, he held faculty positions at the University of Calgary, Canada, and the National University of Singapore. He has been involved in numerous GIS projects focussing around spatio-temporal statistics for land cover, land use change modelling, image fusion for environmental monitoring, spatial optimization for sustainable urban and land use planning, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and web/wireless GIS for location-based service. Bo Huang has been the recipient of several awards in the last few years including Chang Jiang Scholars Chair Professorship from the Ministry of Education of China. He is Executive Editor of Annals of GIS and Asia-Pacific Editor of the International Journal of Geographical Information Science.
