Clinicians who would use the book include board certified, residency-trained, and non- trained surgeons. Board certified would include those in the ACVS and ECVS primarily. There are over 2,000 ACVS and approximately 1,000 ECVS surgeons. Of these, the highest percentage is focused on small animal surgery. There are a moderate number of surgeons who complete residency but do not become board certified although still practice surgery.
