Computers in Human Behavior: Artificial Humans

  • ISSN: 2949-8821
Computers in Human Behavior: Artificial Humans (CHBAH) is a scholarly journal dedicated to examining artificial agents (social robots, algorithm-based agents, AI), the interactions between humans and these artificial agents, the interactions between humans and computerized systems through technological implants, and the impact and degree of acceptance of human-computer direct interfaces from a psychological perspective. CHBAH welcomes original work on interactions between humans, cyborgs, and social robots, including original research, reviews, or other contributions. The journal focuses on psychological or societal aspects of these interactions, not on purely technical issues. CHBAH, however, will consider contributions covering a wide range of primary disciplinary fields, including psychology, neuroscience, neurobiology, anthropology, HMI (human-machine interactions), philosophy, sociology, or Internet studies, and using a wide range of models, including social robots, algorithms, cyborgs, AI, or drones. As a member of the Computers in Human Behavior family of journals, CHBAH is complementary to both Computers in Human Behavior and Computers in Human Behavior Reports and offers the authors the expertise of the three journals. While being more specialized in terms of scope than Computers in Human Behavior and Computers in Human Behavior Reports, Computers in Human Behavior Artificial Humans functions with the same rigorous demands of scientific excellence and quality.

Current Research in Ecological and Social Psychology

  • ISSN: 2666-6227
Mission Statement Current Research in Ecological and Social Psychology (CRESP) is a new primary research, gold open access journal from Elsevier. CRESP publishes original papers and short communications resulting from research in ecological and social approaches to human behavior. Current Research in Ecological and Social Psychology aims to bridge ecological and social approaches to human behavior. It integrates ecological and social psychology and focuses on broad topics such as cooperation and conflict, culture, communication, coordination, as well as the processes that might guide these behaviors, such as emotion, motivation cognition, or neuroscientific processes. Ecological psychology has slightly different meanings, but CRESP adopts a broad approach. It focuses on the relation between the individual and the natural or human-made environment. Key themes center on how climate, the presence of natural resources, as well as natural and human stressors (pathogens, disasters, density, conflict, migration, poverty), may affect cognition, emotion, and behavior of humans (and other animals). Social psychology focuses on the relationship between the individual and the social environment. Key themes center on how other people influence emotion, cognition, beliefs, coordination, communication, power, and cooperation. And finally, the interplay of ecological and social psychology focuses on the relationship between social interaction and culture with key aspects of the ecological and societal environment, including broad societal variables such as those shaped by nature (e.g., climate), economics (e.g., wealth), political science (e.g., conflict and governance), or communication (e.g., media). CRESP welcomes careful replication studies, innovative, and creative research that adds new insights to ecological and social psychology. Methods include those common to behavioral and neuroscience, including experimental and quasi-experimental approaches in the field, along with archival, big data, and historical data. Implications for science and society are valued. Current Research in Ecological and Social Psychology is a peer-reviewed gold open access (OA) journal and upon acceptance all articles are permanently and freely available. It is a companion to the highly regarded review journal Current Opinion in Psychology (COPSYC: 2021 Journal Impact Factor 6.813, CiteScore 10.1) and is part of the Current Opinion and Research (CO+RE) suite of journals. All CO+RE journals leverage the Current Opinion legacy-of editorial excellence, high-impact, and global reach-to ensure they are a widely read resource that is integral to scientists' workflow. Developmental Review

  • ISSN: 0273-2297
  • 5 Year impact factor: 9.8
  • Impact factor: 6.6
Presenting research that bears on important conceptual issues in developmental psychology, Developmental Review: Perspectives in Behavior and Cognition provides lifespan, aging, infancy, child, and adolescent behavioral scientists with authoritative articles that reflect current thinking and cover significant scientific developments. The journal emphasizes human developmental processes and gives particular attention to research that is relevant to developmental psychology. This research has fundamental implications for the fields of cognitive science, developmental sciences, decision sciences, pediatrics, psychiatry, and neuroscience. Developmental Review publishes two types of articles: (1) theory papers that advance new empirically tested hypotheses or frameworks and (2) literature reviews that include but go beyond summaries, instead rigorously interpreting findings about important phenomena. Unlike many other journals, we do not publish empirical reports, although data can be used to test and illustrate new theories. That is, the journal publishes original integrative reviews of empirical studies from important segments of the developmental psychology literature, and it also publishes original theoretical articles on important segments of the developmental psychology literature. For both types of submissions, we emphasize research that tests hypotheses about underlying processes or mechanisms of behavior. Manuscripts are also reviewed for their novelty, currency, and relevance to our readership. Features Integrated collections of papers on a single theme Reviews of the literature Theoretical statements Benefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Emotion, Space and Society

  • ISSN: 1755-4586
  • 5 Year impact factor: 2
  • Impact factor: 1.8
Emotion, Space and Society provides a forum for multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary debate on theoretically informed research on the emotional intersections between people and places. These objectives are broadly conceived and seek to encourage investigations of feelings, encounter and affect in various spatial and social contexts, environments and landscapes. Submissions may focus on the core journal concepts - emotion, space and society - in both conceptual and methodological capacity. Submissions should critically consider the multiplicity of spaces and places that produce and are produced by emotional and affective life, representing an inclusive range of theoretical and methodological engagements with emotion as a social, cultural and spatial phenomenon. Questions of emotion are relevant across diverse disciplines, and the editors welcome submissions across the humanities and social sciences. The journal's editorial ethos is grounded in taking emotions, the emotional and the place of emotions and affect seriously, as central to all human interactions with each other and the worlds in which we live. The journal's presentational structure and style demonstrates the richness generated by multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary engagements with emotions and affects. The journal is open to questioning normative models of academic paper presentation and writing, instead emphasising intellectually and critically grounded work, and offering a unique and timely opportunity to explore exciting new ways to think about natures, cultures and histories of emotional life.
