The International Journal of Forecasting publishes high quality refereed papers covering all aspects of forecasting. Its objective (and that of the IIF) is to unify the field, and to bridge the gap between theory and practice, making forecasting useful and relevant for decision and policy makers. The journal places strong emphasis on empirical studies, evaluation activities, implementation research and ways of improving the practice of forecasting. It is open to many points of view and encourages debate to find solutions for problems facing the field. Topics covered in the International Journal of Forecasting: • Economic and econometric forecasting • Marketing forecasting • New products forecasting • Financial forecasting • Production forecasting • Technological forecasting • Forecasting applications in business, government, and the military • Demographic forecasting • Energy forecasting • Climate forecasting • Crime forecasting • Seasonal adjustments and forecasting • Time series forecasting • Legal and political aspects of forecasting • Implementation of forecasting • Judgmental/psychological aspects of forecasting • Impact of forecast uncertainty on decision making • Organizational aspects of forecasting • Sport forecasting • Machine Learning forecasting • Forecasting methodology • Election forecasting • Big data forecasting Features of the IJF include research papers, research notes, discussion articles, book reviews, editorials and letters. Data and computer programs associated with articles published in the International Journal of Forecasting are provided as online supplements on ScienceDirect. Objectivity To ensure fairness and objectivity, double-blind reviewing will be used. Replication studies The IJF encourages replication studies, especially of highly cited papers. See Encouraging replication and reproducible research (an editorial published in 2010) for further information. A replication study that confirms that a published paper can be successfully replicated would normally be quite short (about a page is often sufficient to describe what calculations and comparisons have been done). Where a previously published paper has not been successfully replicated, more details are required to explain how the results differ from those previously published.

The Journal for Information Professionals The International Journal of Information Management (IJIM) is an international, peer-reviewed journal which aims to bring its readers the very best analysis and discussion in the developing field of information management. The journal: • Keeps the reader briefed with major papers, reports and reviews • Is topical: Viewpoint articles and other regular features including Research Notes, Case Studies and a Reviews section help keep the reader up to date with current issues. • Focusses on high quality papers that address contemporary issues for all those involved in information management and which make a contribution to advancing information management theory and practice. Information is critical for the survival and growth of organisations and people. Rather, there is greater focus on managing activities that make changes in patterns of behaviour of customers, people, and organizations, and information that leads to changes in the way people use information to engage in knowledge focussed activities. Information management covers a wide field and we encourage submissions from diverse areas of practice and settings including business, health, education and government. Topics covered include: Aspects of information management in learning organisations, health care (patients as well health workers and managers), business intelligence, security in organizations, social interactions and community development, knowledge management, information design and delivery, information for health care, Information for knowledge creation, legal and regulatory issues, IS-enabled innovations in information, content and knowledge management, philosophical and methodological approaches to information management research, new and emerging agendas for information research and reflective accounts of professional practice.International Journal of Information Management is the companion title to the open access journal International Journal of Information Management Data Insights. International Journal of Innovation Studies

  • ISSN: 2096-2487
The International Journal of Innovation Studies (IJIS) is an international, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that seeks to advance theoretical and practical knowledge on innovation. The Nature of Innovation Innovation is imperative in today's academic research, but in nature, it defies linear analysis and traditional management methods. What are the characteristics of organizations that stimulate successful innovation? How can managers create an environment in which innovation thrives? How do political leaders and decision makers differentiate between sinkholes and fertile ground when allocating resources for creative work? How can business harness this illogical, unpredictable force that can be as frustrating as it is valuable? Interdisciplinary Insight on Innovation During its emerging era, the field of innovation studies was populated by "immigrants" from other disciplines. It thus became intrinsically interdisciplinary in nature - an intellectual "melting pot" characterized by diversity and an eclectic borrowing of cognitive resources from others. In the IJIS, we invite interdisciplinary researchers from economics, sociology, management studies, and psychology to put forth their insights on innovations, so as to promote the incorporation of a broad and heterogeneous mix of research activities, as well as a fruitful intercourse with social scientists from different disciplines and fields. The Future of Innovation Studies In the past, we have witnessed how innovation changes the world: an earth flattened by the internet and upheavals in the music industry, reading habits, and social networking by innovative companies such as Apple, Amazon, Google, and Facebook. Yet, innovation studies as a discipline have largely failed to develop new research methods for understanding innovations of the 21st century. Thus, how can scholars in innovation studies follow up on future technology and its impacts? In this new era, governments may also need to adopt a more entrepreneurial approach towards innovation policy; hence, researchers in innovation studies must provide a better understanding of the interaction between policy-making and innovation activities. The IJIS invites scholars to look forward and discuss future directions of innovation studies. Journal of Accounting Education

  • ISSN: 0748-5751
The Journal of Accounting Education (JAEd) is a refereed journal dedicated to promoting and publishing research on accounting education issues and to improving the quality of accounting education worldwide. The Journal provides a vehicle for making results of empirical studies available to educators and for exchanging ideas, instructional resources, and best practices that help improve accounting education. The Journal includes four sections: a Main Articles Section, a Teaching and Educational Notes Section, an Educational Case Section, and a Best Practices Section. Manuscripts published in the Main Articles Section generally present results of empirical studies, although non-empirical papers (such as policy-related or essay papers) are sometimes published in this section. Papers published in the Teaching and Educational Notes Section include short empirical pieces (e.g., replications) as well as instructional resources that are not properly categorized as cases, which are published in a separate Case Section. Note: as part of the Teaching Note accompany educational cases, authors must include implementation guidance (based on actual case usage) and evidence regarding the efficacy of the case vis-a-vis a listing of educational objectives associated with the case. To meet the efficacy requirement, authors must include direct assessment (e.g grades by case requirement/objective or pre-post tests). Although interesting and encouraged, student perceptions (surveys) are considered indirect assessment and do not meet the efficacy requirement. The case must have been used more than once in a course to avoid potential anomalies and to vet the case before submission. Authors may be asked to collect additional data, depending on course size/circumstances. The Best Practices section includes individual and institutional practices related to, for example, student recruitment, student advising, student retention, alumni relations, and efforts to integrate accounting practice and accounting education. These articles are typically shorter in length than Main Section (i.e., research-based) articles. While such papers do not need evidence obtained on the basis of an experimental design (e.g., pre- versus post-test comparison), some evidence regarding the value or benefit of the best practice should be included, along with a discussion of relevant costs (out-of-pocket as well as opportunity costs, such as faculty time, practitioner involvement, etc.). Finally, note that the JAEd publishes manuscripts on all topics that are relevant to accounting education, including uses of technology, learning styles, assessment, curriculum, and faculty-related issues.
