Current Research in Neurobiology

  • ISSN: 2665-945X
We are proud to introduce Current Research in Neurobiology (CRNEUR), a new primary research journal from Elsevier. CRNEUR publishes timely original papers, short communications, resources and news & views that cover any aspect of the field of neural science from molecules to mind. We ambitiously aim to be the neuroscientific community's preferred venue for publishing and one that scientists, funders, charities, government bodies and the public can count on for timely discoveries and advances of the highest quality. Current Research in Neurobiology is a gold open access (OA) journal, which means articles are permanently and freely available. It is a companion to the highly regarded review journal Current Opinion in Neurobiology (CONEUR; 2019 Journal Impact Factor 6.267, CiteScore 10.8) and is part of the Current Opinion and Research (CO+RE) suite of journals. All CO+RE journals leverage the Current Opinion legacy-of editorial excellence, high-impact, and global reach-to ensure they are a widely read resource that is integral to scientists' workflow. Current Research in Neurobiology topics include: fundamental (discovery) to clinically- or translationally -relevant neural science across the gamut of relevant animal model systems or humans, covering timely topics on structure, function, evolution, sensation, perception, cognition and mind, either in individually-varying 'typical' neural systems or sub-clinical and clinical areas of interest aimed at advancing knowledge or diagnosis, prognosis and treatment options. We also encourage meta-neuroscience, such as empirically robust papers assessing or advancing welfare, ethical issues or efforts to improve research culture and to make it more inclusive. Neurobiological problems broadly range across the molecular, genetic, cellular, developmental, systems, theoretical, computational and clinical neural sciences. Research work may employ, but is certainly not limited to, bioengineering, neuroimaging, neurophysiology, theoretical, computational, Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, biochemical, evolutionary, developmental, pharmacological, molecular, cellular, anatomical, genetic and neuro-modulation (perturbation or enhancement) approaches that advance knowledge on the structure and function of the nervous system. Current Research in Neurobiology seeks to be a leader in innovative open access publishing, maintaining quality while being responsive to the various stakeholders, working to improve global research culture and public engagement in the work that appears in the journal pages. Current Research in Neurobiology builds on Elsevier's reputation for excellence in scientific publishing and long-standing commitment to communicating reproducible biomedical research targeted at improving human health. Expertise - Editors and Editorial Board bring depth and breadth of expertise and experience to the journal. Speed - Submission and peer review is fast, and publication of final manuscripts is instantaneous. Discoverability - Articles get high visibility and maximum exposure on an industry-leading platform that reaches a vast global audience. Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience

  • ISSN: 1878-9293
  • 5 Year impact factor: 6.9
  • Impact factor: 4.7
Official journal of Flux: The Flux Society for Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience The journal publishes theoretical and research papers as well as meta-analyses on neurocognitive brain development, from infancy through childhood and adolescence and into adulthood. The focus is on studies that describe developmental change including how patterns of neurocognition change with age. We invite studies that use brain metrics and a cognitive system that directly address typical and atypical brain development. All studies should address maturational changes across age or with more than one age group alternatively integrating discussion of developmental change in the Introduction and Discussion. Benefits to authors We also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Diagnostics in Neuropsychiatry

  • ISSN: 2405-8017
Diagnostics in Neuropsychiatry is an international peer-reviewed open access journal publishing articles that document the application of objective measures of brain and behaviour to advance knowledge that will help define future brain-based diagnostic systems. The journal will publish original articles, reviews, concise research reports, and letters to the editor. Submissions on all aspects of neuropsychiatric illness (spanning molecular, cellular, neural systems, cognitive, behavioural) will be welcome so long as the underlying measurements are used to define dimensional or categorical indicators that span existing diagnostic boundaries or define biologically distinctive subgroups within current categories. Neuropsychiatric syndromes are defined broadly, spanning psychotic, mood, anxiety, social, communicative, and cognitive disorders. Articles may be primarily descriptive, experimental, or involve interventions (pharmacological or nonpharmacological) to provide insights into individual differences in, or mechanisms underlying the measures of interest. The journal will be published entirely online and articles will be rapidly available soon after acceptance.

Drug and Alcohol Dependence

  • ISSN: 0376-8716
  • 5 Year impact factor: 4.5
  • Impact factor: 4.2
An International Journal on Biomedical and Psychosocial ApproachesSponsored by the College on Problems of Drug Dependence Drug and Alcohol Dependence is an international journal devoted to publishing original research, scholarly reviews, commentaries, and policy analyses in the area of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and dependence. Articles range from studies of the chemistry of substances of abuse, their actions at molecular and cellular sites, in vitro and in vivo investigations of their biochemical, pharmacological and behavioural actions, laboratory-based and clinical research in humans, substance abuse treatment and prevention research, and studies employing methods from epidemiology, sociology, and economics. The rationale for this extensive coverage is the conviction that drug, alcohol and tobacco use/dependence cannot be understood in their entirety from a single perspective and that without an understanding of other areas of research, studies by individual investigators may be limited. The goal of the journal is to provide researchers, clinicians, and policy makers access to material from all perspectives in a single journal in a format that is understandable and which has received rigorous editorial review. The hope of its editors is to promote mutual understanding of the many facets of drug abuse to the benefit of all investigators involved in drug and alcohol research, and to facilitate the transfer of scientific findings to successful treatment and prevention practices. The accepted abbreviation for Drug and Alcohol Dependence for bibliographic citation is Drug Alcohol Depend. Drug and Alcohol Dependence is currently being distributed to all the members of the College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD), the oldest scientific organization in the United States concerned with research on problems of drug dependence. Members of the CPDD are provided with both the print version as well as access to the full text of the current issue and back issues dating back to Vol. 46, Issue no. 1 of the online version as a benefit of membership. The College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD), formerly the Committee on Problems of Drug Dependence, has been in existence since 1929 and is the longest standing group in the United States addressing problems of drug dependence and abuse. From 1929 until 1976, the CPDD was associated with the National Academy of Sciences, National Research Council. Since 1976, the organization has functioned as an independent body affiliated with other scientific and professional societies representing various disciplines concerned with problems of drug dependence and abuse. In 1991, the CPDD evolved into a membership organization with the new name of College on Problems of Drug Dependence. CPDD serves as an interface among governmental, industrial and academic communities maintaining liaisons with regulatory and research agencies as well as educational, treatment, and prevention facilities in the drug abuse field. It also functions as a collaborating center of the World Health Organization.
