Measurement and Evaluations in Cancer Care is a gold Open Access Journal that focuses on instrumentation and assessment science and technology in cancer care from a global perspective. The journal will cover information on instruments, tools, approaches and procedures used in measurement and/or instrumentation of cancer care-related outcomes, be it physiological, psychosocial or patient-reported outcomes, with emphasis on the cross-psychometric evaluations of scales, instrument development, cross-cultural validation of scales, adaptations, conceptualizations, interpretation practices, statistical techniques, and sensitivity and specificity of assessment measures across different cultural and linguistic contexts. The journal publishes the following types of papers: Original research articles Review articles All papers will include state-of-the-art methodological, measurement, and statistical approaches to assessment of clinical outcomes in cancer care related to research, practice or education, and will be of particular interest to cancer care researchers who are engaging in measurement of outcomes, clinicians in cancer care using related assessments, and methodologists with an interest in measurement sciences in cancer care.
