Aakash Ahmed
Dr. Aakash Ahmed is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing and Communications, Lancaster University Leipzig, Germany. He is also acting as a Technical Consultant for TeraBluIoT focusing on engineering and development of Internet of Things and Blockchain-based Systems. He received his Ph.D. in Software Engineering from School of Computing, Dublin City University, Ireland. He has worked as a software engineer, lecturer, postdoctoral researcher, and technology consultant at various organizations and institutes in Pakistan, Ireland, Denmark, and Australia. Dr. Aakash’s research and development expertise is in Software Engineering with its application to mobile and Internet of Things systems for smart systems and infrastructures. Recently, he has received funding grants for research on engineering smart systems and software in the context of IoTs. Dr. Aakash guest edited a Special Issue titled “IoT for Fighting COVID-19” in Pervasive and Mobile Computing, 2021. Dr. Aakash is also serving as an Associate Editor for IEEE Access. He is currently a reviewer for several reputed journals, including IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing, IEEE Access, Elsevier Journal of Systems and Software, and Elsevier Future Generation Computer Systems.
