The Pacific-Basin Finance Journal (PBFJ) aims to provide a specialized forum for the publication of reliable academic research on capital markets within the Asia-Pacific region (but excluding papers that only use US data). Primary emphasis is placed on the highest quality empirical investigations that focus on research questions in the broad realm of financial economics, addressing mainstream contemporary topics relevant to e.g., investments, asset pricing, corporate finance, financial decision-making. Further, we generally seek to encourage researchers to engage in topics that produce more "useful" research i.e., to produce research that goes meaningfully beyond narrow academic impact. Most notably, such useful research addresses the challenge of solving important and enduring issues of critical relevance to real-world financial problems and/or practical impediments inhibiting optimal decision-making by key stakeholders operating in financial markets. Moreover, PBFJ strongly welcomes submissions that embrace the principles of "responsible science", reflected in three foundational pillars: Credible/reliable research; Useful/relevant research; and Independent/unbiased research To this end, while we continue to invite the submission of the traditional form of original and completed full-study research manuscripts, we also offer an alternative "pre-registration" pathway to publication as detailed in the PBFJ Editorial Note (accessible using the link below): https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0927538X22001329 Led by this form of innovative publication, the editors of PBFJ will exercise best efforts to publish well-executed bold and exciting research, irrespective of whether or not it produces statistically significant and/or positive findings. In other words, the editors of PBFJ believe that it is critical we take a conscious stand against publication bias in order to responsibly service our scientific community.

Papers in Regional Science is the official journal of the Regional Science Association International. It encourages high quality scholarship on a broad range of topics in the field of regional science. These topics include, but are not limited to, behavioural modelling of location, transportation, and migration decisions, land use and urban development, inter-industry analysis, environmental and ecological analysis, resource management, urban and regional policy analysis, geographical information systems, and spatial statistics. The journal publishes papers that make a new contribution to the theory, methods and models related to urban and regional (or spatial) matters. The editors invite submissions of papers that emphasize the application of theoretical frameworks, methods and models, developed specifically for the study of urban and regional phenomena. They also welcome contributions to the understanding of regional phenomena that employ theoretical frameworks and methods developed in other fields.

Progress in Economic Geography (PEG) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed, international journal aiming at advancing economic geography in a broad sense, by providing publication space for new perspectives, concerning topics, methods and theories and concepts. PEG will focus on emergent topics such as geographies of sustainability transitions, digitalisation and digital geography, technology complexity, social innovation, social entrepreneurship, foundational economy, sharing economy, regional industrial dynamics, financial geography and fintech. We also aim to bring these new topics in conversation with classical themes in economic geography, such as global production networks, cluster development, related and unrelated variety, smart specialisation, regional economic restructuring, regional policy, labour geography, feminist geography, environmental economic geography, etc. PEG welcomes research articles, working with both qualitative and quantitative methods and encourages the development and use of new methods and techniques, original and high-quality empirical and conceptual work of the highest standards of economic geography scholarship, reviews, and short articles, in the form of commentaries, opinion pieces and debates. It also welcomes proposals for special issues. The journal is also open to new theoretical perspectives often at the intersections of different approaches within economic geography and beyond, such as evolutionary economics (evolutionary economic geography), network theories (relational economic geography), neo-institutionalism (institutional economic geography), geographical political economy, and alternative economic geographies.

Established in 1947, Research in Economics is one of the oldest general-interest economics journals in the world and the main one among those based in Italy. The purpose of the journal is to select original theoretical and empirical articles that will have high impact on the debate in the social sciences; since 1947, it has published important research contributions on a wide range of topics. A summary of our editorial policy is this: the editors make a preliminary assessment of whether the results of a paper, if correct, are worth publishing. If so one of the associate editors reviews the paper: from the reviewer we expect to learn if the paper is understandable and coherent and - within reasonable bounds - the results are correct. We believe that long lags in publication and multiple demands for revision simply slow scientific progress. Our goal is to provide you a definitive answer within one month of submission. We give the editors one week to judge the overall contribution and if acceptable send your paper to an associate editor. We expect the associate editor to provide a more detailed evaluation within three weeks so that the editors can make a final decision before the month expires. In the (rare) case of a revision we allow four months and in the case of conditional acceptance we allow two months to submit the final version. In both cases we expect a cover letter explaining how you met the requirements. For conditional acceptance the editors will verify that the requirements were met. In the case of revision the original associate editor will do so. If the revision cannot be at least conditionally accepted it is rejected: there is no second revision.

An international, peer-reviewed journal, Research in Globalization seeks to explore all aspects of globalization - positive and negative - through analysis of the phenomenon in all its many aspects. The journal provides a wide-reaching platform for the exchange of ideas and information. The primary aims of the journal are to analyze and assess the effects of globalization on human populations globally, past and present. Papers from any of the social sciences will be considered as long as they are well-argued and contain material that deepens our understanding of globalization theoretically, conceptually, empirically and methodologically. The journal welcomes all types of papers from traditional 'full' research articles to short communications, opinion pieces, case studies, invited reviews and applications. Research in Globalization also offers the opportunity to publish special issues or sections to reflect current interest and research in topical or developing areas.
