The journal will broadly cover all areas of chemistry where artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning approaches are used. While studies in more traditional sub-disciplines of chemist will certainly be considered, we would welcome and encourage submissions of work that could potentially stimulate interdisciplinary interests involving AI. All submissions must provide a significant contribution to our understanding of contemporary and future AI theory, AI methods, and/or AI applications in chemistry, medicine, biology, and materials science. Studies conducted at all spatial and temporal scales will be considered. We will be open to submissions on all relevant topics and but particularly interested in the following areas of research: Quantum chemical methods combining artificial intelligence (AI) and big data techniques; AI oriented calculations and data system; Construction of AI models; AI assisted materials design; AI assisted structure-activity relationship; Machine learning protocols and application in chemistry; Multi-scale modelling method development; Intelligent spectrum analysis based on AI; Application of AI in complex chemical systems; Application of AI in organic chemistry; Application of AI in drug discovery; Application of AI in identification of sprout compounds and targets; Development of AI software and hardware; Research on the integrating experimental and theory; AI-based spectroscopic analysis and monitoring. Bioactive Carbohydrates and Dietary Fibre

Bioactive Carbohydrates and Dietary Fibre is intended to be an international journal focused on dietary fibre, and bioactive carbohydrates (including bioactive polysaccharides, oligosaccharides and glycoproteins. It will include original studies and comprehensive reviews on the primary structure, molecular characteristics including conformation, size and shape, and bioactivities demonstrated by studies using in vitro, cell culture, animal and human clinical trials for understanding the action mechanisms and efficacy of bioactive carbohydrates from plants, fungi, animals and produced by biotechnology. Specific bioactivities such as reducing serum cholesterol, modulating blood glucose and insulin levels, fermentability in the gastrointestinal track, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, immune regulatory and anti-oxidant activities demonstrated by these bioactive carbohydrates are the main focus of this journal. It also covers the areas of interaction of dietary fibres, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides and glycoproteins with food matrices which may enhance or alter their efficacy, shelf-life stability of the bioactivities. Papers will cover such issues as: • Structural characterization of bioactive polysaccharides, oligosaccharides and glycoproteins • Conformation and molecular characteristics of bioactive polysaccharides, oligosaccharides and glycoproteins • Bioactivities of polysaccharides including: anti-cancer, immune modulation, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant etc • New anti-cancer polysaccharides from herbs • Recent advances in bioactive polysaccharides, oligosaccharides and glycoproteins • Analysis and physicochemical characterization of soluble and insoluble dietary fibre • Effects of dietary fibre on post-prandial blood glucose and/or insulin levels • Effect of dietary fibre on blood total and/or LDL cholesterol levels; • Effects of dietary fibre on gut function and ecology of microflora • Role of a diet rich in soluble fibre in reducing body weight • Development of dietary fibre industry • Animal and clinical trial studies • Updates on regulatory changes and legal constraints on nutritional dietary fibre and other food hydrocolloids The subject borders on medicine but is not a medical subject. The common factor for published papers is “bioactivity” and it's influence on health. Origin, husbanding, extraction, characterization, purification, cell culture, animal and clinical trials leading towards a medical or food supplemental applications will be considered. To be considered for this journal the research needs to cross-over from chemistry/biochemistry into biological investigation, with opportunities too for those who work on immune systems to contribute. Bioorganic Chemistry publishes research that addresses biological questions at the molecular level, using organic chemistry and principles of physical organic chemistry. The scope of the journal covers a range of topics at the organic chemistry-biology interface, including: enzyme catalysis, biotransformation and enzyme inhibition; nucleic acids chemistry; medicinal chemistry; natural product chemistry, natural product synthesis and natural product biosynthesis; antimicrobial agents; lipid and peptide chemistry; biophysical chemistry; biological probes; bio-orthogonal chemistry and biomimetic chemistry. For manuscripts dealing with synthetic bioactive compounds, the Journal requires that the molecular target of the compounds described must be known, and must be demonstrated experimentally in the manuscript. For studies involving natural products, if the molecular target is unknown, some data beyond simple cell-based toxicity studies to provide insight into the mechanism of action is required. Studies supported by molecular docking are welcome, but must be supported by experimental data. The Journal does not consider manuscripts that are purely theoretical or computational in nature. The Journal publishes regular articles, short communications and reviews. Reviews are normally invited by Editors or Editorial Board members. Authors of unsolicited reviews should first contact an Editor or Editorial Board member to determine whether the proposed article is within the scope of the Journal. An International Journal devoted to the Physics and Chemistry of Biological Phenomena Biophysical Chemistry publishes original work and reviews in the areas of chemistry and physics directly impacting biological phenomena. Quantitative analysis of the properties of biological macromolecules, biologically active molecules, macromolecular assemblies and cell components in terms of kinetics, thermodynamics, spatio-temporal organization, NMR and X-ray structural biology, as well as single-molecule detection represent a major focus of the journal. Theoretical and computational treatments of biomacromolecular systems, macromolecular interactions, regulatory control and systems biology are also of interest to the journal. The journal publishes Regular Articles, Reviews, Short Communications (maximum of 4 printed pages) and Feature Articles. Feature Articles are normally by Editor's invitation only, but interested authors can contact the Editors before submission. Author(s) will be asked to focus on her/his recent research contributions, thereby adding a personal perspective to their field of research. These short reviews will include the authors' photo and a brief bio/CV and will have a page limit of 5 printed pages in print. Manuscripts that fall outside the scopes and interests of the journal are returned to the Authors without in-depth review. Relevant manuscripts are reviewed expeditiously with decisions generally made within 3 weeks from receipt. Short Communications are 6 printed pages maximum, reporting results of unusual timeliness and significance. Letters are short articles (6 printed pages maximum) reporting results of unusual timeliness and significance. Decisions on Short Communications are made within 1-2 weeks from receipt and publication is offered only to manuscripts requiring minor revision. Reviews are published by invitation from the Editors, but suggestions are welcome at any time.
