Molecular Immunology

  • ISSN: 0161-5890
  • 5 Year impact factor: 4
  • Impact factor: 3.6
Molecular Immunology publishes original articles, reviews and commentaries on all areas of immunology, with a particular focus on description of cellular, biochemical or genetic mechanisms underlying immunological phenomena. Studies on all model organisms, from invertebrates to humans, are suitable. Examples include, but are not restricted to: Infection, autoimmunity, transplantation, immunodeficiencies, inflammation and tumor immunology Mechanisms of induction, regulation and termination of innate and adaptive immunity Intercellular communication, cooperation and regulation Intracellular mechanisms of immunity (endocytosis, protein trafficking, pathogen recognition, antigen presentation, etc) Mechanisms of action of the cells and molecules of the immune system Structural analysis Development of the immune system Comparative immunology and evolution of the immune system "Omics" studies and bioinformatics Vaccines, biotechnology and therapeutic manipulation of the immune system (therapeutic antibodies, cytokines, cellular therapies, etc) Technical developments Articles based primarily on studies in silico must adhere to the following principles; (i) The article must report novel analytical tools, approaches and/or databases rather than using publicly available ones; or (ii) The article must include substantial experimental validation of the conclusions obtained in silico. Manuscripts related to regulatory RNA (e.g. microRNAs, lncRNAs or circRNAs) are welcome but please note: (i) they must show clear physiological relevance supported by in vivo results or clinical observations; (ii) Correlations between regulatory RNA expression with human diseases should be experimentally validated; (iii) Functions associated with the regulatory RNAs must within the scope of the journal i.e. inflammation and/or immune responses. To be acceptable for publication, studies that describe correlations between disease and genetic polymorphisms would normally be required to include novel mechanistic findings underlying the associations. Clinical studies correlating disease and measurements of a molecule or cell type would likewise not be suitable for publication without novel mechanistic insights. Studies describing pharmacological agents are welcome if they provide significant novelty on the mechanisms of action.

Mucosal Immunology

  • ISSN: 1933-0219
Mucosal Immunology is the official publication of the Society of Mucosal Immunology (SMI). It aims to provide a forum for both basic and clinical scientists to discuss all aspects of immunity and inflammation involving mucosal tissues. The journal reflects the interests of scientists studying gastrointestinal, pulmonary, nasopharyngeal, oral, ocular, skin and genitourinary immunology through the publication of original research articles, scholarly reviews, and timely commentaries, editorials and letters. Publication of basic, translational, and clinical studies will all be given equal consideration. In addition, Mucosal Immunology aims to provide a primary method of communication for the SMI governing board and its members through the publication of society news, announcements of planned meetings and conferences, discussions of policy concerns, and advertisements for job and training opportunities.

Neuroimmunology Reports

  • ISSN: 2667-257X
Neuroimmunology Reports is an online, open access journal devoted to education and evidence-based clinical practice in neuroimmunology. This journal will function as a searchable repository of neuroimmunology cases curated through an educational process in which a neuroimmunology fellow trainees handle reports and learn from them by presenting to an international network faculty of experts within areas of neuroimmunology. Neuroimmunology Reports cases are also fascinating and fun to read. The scope of the journal broadly includes case reports or series of any neurological illness mediated, at least in part, by the immune system. Traditional research-focused journals only publish a few case reports because each case is deemed incremental, confirmatory, negative or outside journal priorities. However, in clinical practice negative studies may be just as important as positive studies, and well-conceived papers reporting negative data or confirmatory results are welcome because clinical advances need confirmation before they are introduced into clinical care. Similarly, case reports can be particularly educational. The major aim of Neuroimmunology Reports is to create a searchable repository of neuroimmunological case reports curated by an international editorial board composed of teaching faculty and rotating fellow trainees. The journal will also publish reviews and analyses of case reports/series to build an evidence-based rationale for scientific exploration. Importantly, the journal aims to develop an international network of teaching faculty and fellow trainees that handle the peer review of published case reports/series with the goal of educating the next generation of neuroimmunology clinicians. The journal will publish and catalogue the following types of articles: Case Reports, Case Series and Reviews. AUDIENCE All branches of neuroscience: clinical neurologists, neurophysiologists, geneticists, psychologist, molecular biologists, MRI and allied imaging specialists, immunologists, major pharmaceutical companies, ethical and legal specialists, neuroimmunology specialist nurses, drug trial nurses.

Regenesis, Repair & Rehabilitation rapidly publishes rigorously peer-reviewed high-quality research articles, concise reviews, phase forwards (clinical trials), case reports, and short communications on topics relevant to the development, engineering, and regeneration of tissues and organs either in vitro, in vivo or in situ, which potentially will contribution to tissue/organ repair and rehabilitation. The journal has a strong mission to facilitating the transfer of findings from the laboratory to the clinical practice, thus to closing the gap between basic scientists and physicians. The journal covers the areas of stem/progenitor/precursors cells, gene editing for differentiation or maintaining stemness, organoids for grafting, biomaterials for bioengineering, 3D printing, which could improve the anatomical structure and function of tissue/organ, and victims integrated to society. The fields of regenesis, repair and rehabilitation are crosstalk among translational medicine, clinical medicine, life sciences, materials and biomaterials, and tissue engineering in combined efforts to advance therapeutic strategies and solutions, and this rationale is in accordance with this journal. Clinical trials in human patients performed under strict regulatory and ethical review are particularly encouraged. In vivo studies that failed to restore the tissues' and organs' structure and function will be considered only if the reviewers consider them valuable to other. Regeneration: Stem Cell, differentiation, organoids for grafting, biomaterials for bioengineering, 3D printing Surgery: Clinical study, surgical infections, cell/tissue/ organ transplantation, surgical intensive care, novel surgery approach Rehabilitation: clinical study, VR, virtual reality, intensive rehabilitation, physical therapy, OT, Occupational Therapy
