The recent Covid-19 pandemic has hugely accelerated the adoption and delivery of distance and online learning programmes at all levels. This has been hugely challenging for many universities as they build expertise and identify the resources needed to make this unprecedented move. However, there are currently no guidelines for distance and online library provision; “Distance Online Library Services” provides advice to all those who are faced with the challenges of building and maintaining a service and those responsible for funding and quality assurance of the services. The book explores the key aspects of developing and maintaining an effective and cost-efficient distance online library service which is evidence-based and backed by current research.
