Jackson C. Bittencourt
Dr. Bittencourt is Full Professor of the Department of Anatomy and Head of the Laboratory of Chemical Neuroanatomy at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has served on multiple major University and Faculty committees while at the same time maintaining a significant research group and an extensive publication output. During his career spanning almost four decades, he has supervised more than 50 Master, Doctorate students, and Postdoctoral Fellows. He is the author of over 150 original articles, reviews, books, and book chapters. He has supervised Ph.D. students, many of whom now hold significant academic and other positions throughout Brazil and internationally.

Giovanne B. Diniz
Dr. Giovanne Diniz is a research fellow at the California National Primate Research Center, University of California, Davis (UCD), USA. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and has been awarded two PhD titles, one in Systems Biology (Morphofunctional Sciences Specialization) by the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo, and one in Neuroscience by Maastricht University, the Netherlands. He has published extensively with MCH, being an author in papers and book chapters related to the phylogeny and evolution of MCH, the distribution of MCH and MCHR1 in rodents, the role of MCH in lactation and neuroendocrine control, and general MCH functions.
