Rajib Maity
Dr. Maity’s research area includes Hydroclimatology, Stochastic Hydrology, Sea Level Rise, Remote Sensing, Statistical and AI/ML methods, and Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources Engineering. Recently, Dr. Maity is elected as a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society (UK). He is also conferred with AK Singh Chair Faculty by IIT Kharagpur. Some of his other professional recognitions include Humboldt Fellowship (Experienced Researchers), James Rennell MoES Young Fellow (India), Faculty Excellence Award (IIT Kharagpur), Prof. R. J. Garde Research Award (India), Emerging Leaders Fellowship (Australia), BOYSCAST Fellowship (India/USA), IEI Young Engineers Award (India), DAAD Fellowship (Germany), International ICE WaRM Fellowship (Australia), Prof. N. S. Govinda Rao Memorial Medal from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Dr. Maity has published 2 books and more than 150 research articles in different peer reviewed journals and conferences, and chapters in books. So far, he has guided 10 doctoral students and 21 MTech/MS students.

Riya Dutta
Dr. Dutta is a recent PhD from the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. She completed her MS from IIT Kharagpur in 2018 and B-Tech from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur in 2012. She has more than two years of industrial experience working as a planning and quality control engineer. During her PhD, she developed a time-varying network-based model for modelling non-stationary processes in a changing climate. The model is applied for short and medium range forecast of different hydrological variables. Her research areas include Climate Change Impact on Water Resources, Hydrologic Time Series Analysis and Forecasting and Analysis of Hydrologic Extremes. She has published one book chapter, 11 journal articles in different peer reviewed journals, and 8 research articles in different national and international conferences. She is a member of American Geophysical Union (AGU) and International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR).
