David Borge-Diez
David Borge-Diez is a Professor in Electrical Engineering and a member of the Intelligent Energy Management Systems research group at the University of Leon in Spain. Prof. Borge-Diez has a PhD in Energy Engineering, Masters’ degrees in Industrial Technology Research and Industrial Engineering, and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering. His work in teaching and as a researcher in focused on energy, with special emphasis in the use of unconventional energy sources an energy efficiency. For more than 8 years, he has worked in private companies nationally and internationally, developing research projects and engineering work, alongside his teaching and research in the academic environment.

Adrián Escapa
Adrián Escapa is a Mechanical Engineer and earned his PhD in Environmental Engineering. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of León. His research is focused on the uses and engineering aspects of (bio)-electrochemical systems to improve the energy efficiency of waste management facilities.
He has published more than 30 international high impact publications and participated in several international research projects related to energy efficiency and to the environmental impact of waste-to-energy technologies.
