    Sports Economics Review (SER) welcomes submissions that deal with various economic topics in the sports industry or manuscripts that use sports as a laboratory to study human behavior. The journal views sports economics as a part of economic science and welcomes sport related contributions from fields such as behavioral economics, development economics, finance, game theory, health economics, industrial organisation, labor economics, political economics, public economics, sports analytics, and urban economics. The journal is open to different research methodologies that are employed in general interest economic journals, as long as they are relevant to the topic and employed rigorously. Literature reviews that integrate findings from many studies are also welcome, but they should synthesize the literature in a useful manner and provide a substantial contribution beyond what the reader could get by simply reading the abstracts of the cited papers. In empirical work, it is important that the results are not only precise but also economically relevant. In addition, empirical papers are expected to follow a clear identification strategy. Papers should not be unnecessarily long. Short articles are also welcome.     Journal of Business Venturing Design publishes original works that advance both theoretical understanding and the practice of entrepreneurship. JBVD does so by regarding entrepreneurship as a form of design to be studied as a design science. Entrepreneurship as design is broadly defined as the iterative and uncertainty facing process of establishing a new "business" (or "opportunity", "venture", "startup" etc.), typically by working with various intermediate artifacts. Studying entrepreneurship as a design science means that the ultimate, if not immediate, goal of all contributions should be instrumental, i.e. the development of knowledge or tools that improve the art and skill of entrepreneurial design. In this sense, entrepreneurship is similar to other design sciences such as engineering and medicine. And much like these fields draw on the physical and life sciences, entrepreneurship (and management more generally) in part relies on explanatory and descriptive knowledge produced in various social science disciplines. There is also potential in interdisciplinary contributions that relate entrepreneurial design to insights from other design science disciplines, such as product design, service design, organization design, software design, and information systems design.Importantly, the focus on instrumental knowledge does not imply that explanatory or descriptive research will not be published. It does, however, mean that such works should explicitly aim toward the development of more instrumental knowledge or tools. To illustrate, explanatory research seeking a general causal mechanism on the form 'X causes A under condition B' can be turned into an instrumental design principle if X can be manipulated with predictable results. Similarly, descriptive research seeking patterns in the details of specific situations may be turned in to design principles by gradually producing better understandings of how elements of the situation relate to one and other.The instrumentality of design science highlights its ethical dimension. As opposed to purely descriptive or explanatory sciences, design science more directly helps manipulate the world in particular directions, suggesting that design scientists have a potential moral responsibility for the knowledge and tools developed.Constraine... by the above, JBVD publishes high-quality conceptual and empirical works - regardless of disciplinary origins or methodological orientation - that advance our knowledge of entrepreneurship as design.     The Journal of Economic Theory publishes original research on economic theory. It is the most general-interest journal among those specializing in economic theory. It is also one of nine core journals in all of economics. The Journal strives to respond in four months from receipt of the manuscript. It is committed to maintaining a fair and balanced view of different fields in economic theory, with an emphasis on innovative work. Submissions with significant empirical, experimental, quantitative, and computational contributions are welcome, provided they are firmly grounded in theory.Themes include, but are not limited to, mechanism design, information, finance, matching, decision theory, game theory, political economy, market design, macroeconomics and monetary economics.

    Body Image is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality, scientific articles on body image and human physical appearance. Body image represents a person's "inside view" of their body-that is, their feelings, perceptions, thoughts, and beliefs about their body that impact how they behave toward it (Cash, 2004). While physical appearance is an important aspect of body image, it is not the only aspect, as embodiment (how a person uses their body to engage with the world) and focusing on (and appreciating) body functionality are additional aspects of body image. We invite contributions from a broad range of disciplines - psychological science, other social and behavioral sciences, and medical and health sciences. We have a weight-inclusive focus rather than a weight-normative or weight-centric focus (see here for an explanation).Body Image publishes a variety of article types, including original research articles, brief research reports, theoretical and review papers (systematic reviews and meta-analyses), scale development and adaptation articles, replication studies, protocol articles, methodological innovations that could be used to advance body image research, unexpected/null results articles, and ideas worth researching. We encourage articles that center minoritized populations. We, the editorial team, strongly encourage authors to cite the highest quality work believed to be most relevant to their article; we are impartial to the use of citations from Body Image versus other journals. We review and accept articles based on their scientific rationale, merits, design, analysis, and interpretation rather than the source of their citations.Note regarding string citations. We encourage authors to avoid excessive string citations, whereby multiple citations support a single statement, finding, or proposition, when such citations would be superfluous. In many cases, one citation will suffice, and this citation should be the best supporting reference for that statement, finding, or proposition. All important previous work can be included, and if a cite is important, there often will be additional text that accompanies it. Please note that we are okay with the overall number of references.Of note, the recommendation to avoid string citations does not apply to:Statements that include more than one finding. If submitted articles contain string citations, the editorial team will simply note this, and it will be up to the author to decide whether to retain or remove citations if asked to revise and resubmit their article.The journal gives an annual award for the best doctoral dissertation in this field.

    Behavioural Processes is dedicated to the publication of high-quality original research on animal behaviour from any theoretical perspective. It welcomes contributions that consider animal behaviour from behavioural analytic, cognitive, ethological, ecological and evolutionary points of view. This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and papers that integrate theory and methodology across disciplines are particularly welcome.The quality of research and focus on behavioural processes are the sole criteria for acceptance. Behavioural Processes considers both papers investigating basic behavioural phenomena and behavioural studies of more applied significance. Papers reporting solely on human behaviour may be considered for publication if they relate closely to non-human research within the journal's remit. Authors of papers reporting research on human subjects are invited to contact the editors for advice prior to submission, as they are for papers of all kinds.Behavioural Processes publishes three categories of paper. Corpus research is no longer confined primarily to the study of linguistics and to generalised language description but is now applied in diverse fields, such as forensic linguistics, social policy studies, food studies, anthropology, writing development studies, translation and interpreting, and the analysis of corporate and government communications.With this broadening of the range of applications of corpus methods and frameworks has come a need for a journal in which studies and reports can be brought together for an audience of researchers and practitioners that are interested in the range of applications of corpus linguistics. The role of Applied Corpus Linguistics is to provide a forum for further theorisation of corpus data analysis techniques, for the sharing of case studies and of new methods, and to advance the development and consolidation of applied corpus linguistics as a major force in social research.The journal welcomes contributions in the form of full length research articles, discussion papers, short technical papers and book reviews. While the emphasis is on applications rather than on theorisations, it is expected that all studies will be adequately theorised. As the intended readership extends beyond corpus linguistics, however, the focus must be on application and on communication of content to a non-specialist reader.     Emotion, Space and Society provides a forum for multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary debate on theoretically informed research on the emotional intersections between people and places. These objectives are broadly conceived and seek to encourage investigations of feelings, encounter and affect in various spatial and social contexts, environments and landscapes. Submissions may focus on the core journal concepts - emotion, space and society - in both conceptual and methodological capacity. Submissions should critically consider the multiplicity of spaces and places that produce and are produced by emotional and affective life, representing an inclusive range of theoretical and methodological engagements with emotion as a social, cultural and spatial phenomenon.Questions of emotion are relevant across diverse disciplines, and the editors welcome submissions across the humanities and social sciences. The journal's editorial ethos is grounded in taking emotions, the emotional and the place of emotions and affect seriously, as central to all human interactions with each other and the worlds in which we live.The journal's presentational structure and style demonstrates the richness generated by multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary engagements with emotions and affects. The journal is open to questioning normative models of academic paper presentation and writing, instead emphasising intellectually and critically grounded work, and offering a unique and timely opportunity to explore exciting new ways to think about natures, cultures and histories of emotional life.

    Biological Psychology publishes original scientific papers on neural, endocrine, immune, and other physiological aspects of psychological states and processes. Such aspects include assessments by biochemistry, electrophysiology, and neuroimaging during psychological experiments as well as biologically induced changes in psychological function. Psychological investigations based on biological theories are also of interest. All aspects of psychological functioning, including psychopathology, are germane.The Journal is focused on work with human individuals, but may consider work with animals, if conceptually related to issues in human biological psychology. The Journal welcomes work that spans disciplines and methods and recruits an editorial team that is especially suited for handling such manuscripts. Empirical reports are the core of the Journal, but methodological and theoretical reports relevant to biological psychology are encouraged (see list of article types for more information). The methods should help to advance our understanding of infectious and non-infectious diseases in humans.The journal will also consider applications where health care provision is the focus. The economic, social, technological and political systems of the world are intertwined and changes in one region almost always affect other regions. Habitat International welcomes reports of research on urban issues such as policy and implementation, the links between planning, building and land, finance and management, urban design, the interaction between the natural environment and urban areas the provision of urban services and other related problems. Papers on topics which clearly have broad implications and interrelationships based on the experiences of the developing or developed world will be considered. Submissions exploring these issues within the development context are particularly welcomed. Quality papers, short communications, comments on published papers and reports on relevant conferences from all parts of the world are presented as it is recognised that such urban problems arise everywhere.
