Marco Satyro
Marco Satyro (deceased) was Professor, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Clarkson University teaching process dyanmics and controls and a newly added course on advanced hydrocarbon thermodynamics. He was also Chairman and Founder of Virtual Materials Group, a process simulation software company started in 1999 and based in Calgary with more than 300 clients in 26 countries. He was the Principal Developer of VMG software, a product used for steady-state and dynamic simulation of natural gas, refining, petrochemical, chemical, and pharmaceutical processes. He had consulted with multiple clients, authored several papers and presentations, and was a member of APEGGA, AICheE, CSChE, and ACS. Marco earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from The Polytechnic School of the University of Sao Paulo and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary. He passed away in 2016.

Carl L. Yaws
Carl L. Yaws, PhD was Professor of Chemical Engineering (retired) at Lamar University, in Beaumont, TX. He has industrial experience in process engineering, development, modeling, and design at Exxon, Ethyl, and Texas Instruments. He is the author of 36 books and more than 1,000 technical publications (papers, presentations, and chapters in books) in process engineering, property data, and pollution prevention. He is a leading authority on property data of chemical compounds for use by practicing engineers and scientists.
